DBT Group Skills Training is focused on building four core sets of DBT skills (Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, & Interpersonal Effectiveness) with an emphasis on decreasing any self-injurious or life-threatening behavior, therapy interfering behavior, and quality-of-life interfering  behavior

DECREASE:

  • Difficulties Regulating or managing intense changes in emotions

Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Substance Abuse

DBT-S is a treatment that utilizes core DBT skills (Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation & Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills) however adds ABSTINENCE STRATEGIES as a core set of skills in addition to having a greater emphasis on recognizing and reducing urges to use substances as a means of managing difficult emotions. 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Eating Disorders

DBT-ED is a treatment that utilizes core DBT skills (Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation & Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills) however placing an emphasis on managing moods and impulses without restricting, bingeing or purging.
