DBT Group Skills Training is focused on building four core sets of DBT skills (Mindfulness, Distress
Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, & Interpersonal Effectiveness) with an emphasis on decreasing any
self-
injurious or life-threatening behavior, therapy interfering behavior, and quality-of-life interfering behavior.

DBT therapy has also been determined through research by The Behavioral Technology Transfer LLC to be an effective treament for the symptoms of co occuring Substance Use Disorder and Eating Disorders.
